Congratulations - Hunter Gauthier - National Football Foundation

Congrats one of our Scholar Athletes. 
Hunter Gauthier
 
Hunter played for the Santee Ravens for 3 years and was recently recognized at the National Football Foundation banquet on April 5th 2019

From the National Football Banquet brochure
    " Hunter Gauthier is a 6-foot, 2-inch, 190-pound defensive end and athlete at West Hills High School, where he played for head coach Casey Ash.  Gauthier has earned two varsity letters playing football and one in track and field throwing the shot put and discus.  The ferocious pass rusher registered five sacks and a fumble recovery on defense, while scoring four touchdowns on offense in 2018.  Gauthier was selected to the All-Grossmont Valley League First-Team Defense and was named the Defensive Lineman of the Year for his efforts.  
    A standout int the classroom as well, Gauthier carried a 4.36 GPA and was named to the San Diego Union-Tribune All-Academic Team in 2017 and 2018.  He has also earned Alpha Plus awards in AVID and AP Psychology.  Gauthier has been a member in Young Life Club, Homeless Club and Hunger Awareness Club for the past two years and he was nominated to the final round for Boys State in 2018.
    Gauthier will be attending San Diego State University, where he aspires to major in pre-physical therapy.  In his free time, he enjoys working out, playing video games and being with his friends.  Hunter is the son of Dave and Karen Gauthier."
